Our firm is comprised of professionals which help business owners and founders through the various stages of an M&A transaction, from identifying prospective buyers to closing the deal, conducting the necessary research, and analyzing the market. M&A can be a nuanced and challenging process. We possess expertise in finance, accounting, operations, and we use this knowledge to help our clients navigate the M&A process. What distinguishes Encore, however, is that we bring experiences from running our own companies, leading our own acquisitions and exits, and navigating through the complexities of economic cycles. So, we can relate to our clients in a more meaningful way than most advisors can. For us, the ultimate crescendo is seeing our clients get rewarded for the sweat they have put into their businesses and the results they have produced throughout the years. We will stack the quality of our work up against any M&A advisory firm, which encompasses the development of compelling marketing materials to position our clients in the most favorable light to generate interest and drive results. We put the market-facing materials we produce in play by targeting both buyers and investors that align with our clients' professional and personal interests. We will lead all phases of the M&A journey, including identifying potential buyer targets, executing all aspects of the sell side process, negotiating the deal, overseeing due diligence, working with buyers to structure the transaction, and closing the deal.

Finding the Right Buyer at the Right Time. The stipulations associated with a business sale vary, whether the goal is to sell to a buyer who will continue the ideals established, succession planning, finding a strategic buyer to provide scale, or to specifically maximize shareholder value, we use our resources, network, and expertise to target the ideal organization for a successful transaction and will work closely with ownership to close the deal.
Capitalization Consulting. We have access to a network of investor resources that enable us to advise clients with capital needs of any type, including Angel, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Family Office, Bank Packaging, and Government Backed Banking Capital.
The Encore smartSourcing Network Defined. We have created a practice designed to make introductions to financial and strategic buyers, within our network, to founders and owners. When working with our smartSourcing Network practice, the financial and strategic buyers generally pay our fees – so, in most cases, there is no cost to the seller.
Our Network is Your Network. While we always advocate for running an efficient and effective sell-side process to create a competitive dynamic to produce the best valuation with the right buyer, we recognize certain founders and owners are not quite ready to run a managed initiative but are open to having exploratory conversations to “see where things might go.” We have the connections and know what types of companies and financial profiles investors and corporate development offices are interested in getting to learn more about. Our view is that it never hurts to have a discussion.
Building Accretive Value. Identifying valuable opportunities for privately-owned companies worth investing in can be a challenge. Many aren’t in the market deal flow and are not readily accessible. Our approach addresses this challenge. In select circumstances, we provide the capacity required to build accretive value as an extension of a buyer’s organization or corporate development office.
Experience in a Wide Range of Industries. We make it possible for financial and strategic buyers to maximize their investment opportunities across a range of industries by employing a multidimensional strategy to identify new portfolio company opportunities and add-ons.
Our Network, Your Resource. Traditional methods of prospecting are still effective, however, our network can be your most valuable resource, which includes accounting firms, attorneys, consultants, brokers, sell-side intermediaries, and investment bankers, as well as an expansive database of small to mid-market companies worldwide. We also employ technology and data tools to reach “not for sale” companies to deliver greater strategic value and more accretive deals.

Our management consulting approach is based on analyses which include a detailed review of go-to-market strategies, sales performance, distribution, management, and operations. We focus on helping companies build value by working with them to unlock untapped performance opportunities that allow them to reach their greatest potential. As a management consulting partner, we enable clients to stay focused on their businesses while we provide interim functional expertise across any function of an organization.
